It might be worth mentioning here that if you own a copy of The Spirit of St Andrews, MacKenzie's follow up book, it contains every word of text from Golf Architecture, plus a lot of updates to his thinking after many years of practice. The manuscript of the newer book was mostly written in the margins of a copy of the original!
