« on: December 09, 2014, 10:12:37 AM »
Feel free to post any extra photos here that you don't want to submit for the POTY Contest.  All descriptions of holes and courses are welcomed.

Here is my favorite from 2014 from the Non-Golf Department.

My brother and 2 year old nephew. His position at the top is better than mine.

This hangs on my bag as a humble reminder of good golf gone bad.. I was just 1 over par at the time.

Oh, and POTY reminded me of this one:

That's probably the most juvenile thing I've ever seen a club do.  Wow.

Seems appropriate on the POTY thread. This is why I never take pics.

Doubt I want to go there now, even with the 5th major.

Garland,

Given the lack of trees it's the only place we can go.

Has nothing to do with trees. Has to with how you treat your fellow man.

Garland,

Sadly I can not take credit for the idea or the sign. I do accept responsibility for the fact that it has stood for years now because I am sure that if I or any member felt it was inappropriate it would be taken down. My guests always see it as more of a tribute than an insult.

I can't think of a course in the world where I wouldn't be thrilled to be remembered in the exact same way.

I'll add a few B Side pics. A couple golf related, a couple life related, and a couple of both.

#4 at Ballyneal at dusk. This was round 8 of my HHH and made me want to play until I could no longer see.

#15 at Dismal River Red. Early morning and I had the course to myself.

Ben Cox, the reason behind 100 Hole Hike, teeing it up on the 10th at Ballyneal with the help of his father. I have never been so honored to stand on a teebox. No dry eyes.

My daughter enjoying the morning view at Ballyneal.

And a few from my grandparent's central Kansas farm... because, well, it's home and we do sunsets pretty well around here.

181 holes at Ballyneal on June, 19th, 2017. What a day and why I love golf - http://www.hundredholehike.com/blogs/181-little-help-my-friends
