Waste areas?
« on: September 10, 2002, 10:00:47 AM »
I have a question regarding waste areas and how they are built and maintained.

For instance, the waste areas like Sawgrass, I didnt notice but what type of drainage inlets?  Do they use solid pipe or perferated?

Do they add sand on a yearly basis for the possible washout into the large drains(if they use the large inlet drains.  Are there large spec pipe....24"-36" running the length with smaller capillaries connecting?

If anybody has built or spec'd one please help I am curious from a student standpoint.

Thanks,

I am curious as to whether Waste areas could ever possibly be more of a maintenance headache and therefore more expensive to maintain. Anybody?
