David a wonderful layout.  Not an easy walk either, especially the back 9. Really like the new locker room as wel.

So true.  This summer I was walking along the road to the left of the first hole at Dornoch when a car pulled alongside.  There were two Australian couples in the car.  The driver asked me if that was a golf course. I said yes and he asked if it was a good one.  I had to laugh and explained that it was one of the best in the world.

Agreed, its hard to over-estimate how few courses the average golfer is aware of.

While they know about Tour venues and bigger names like Pine Valley, Cypress, Pebble....mention Fishers, NGLA, Ballyneal, or Sand Hills and its mostly blank stares.

They could have been Kiwis :)

Enjoyed the video, albeit we didn't see too many holes. I always struggle to ennunciate what IMO makes a "great" course to play. I do know the gentler rhythm of the place contributed to my enjoyment along with a collection of wonderful (open) holes.
