Steve S  I worked at Adios Golf Club in  winter 1983-84.

Crazy place to this day, named after Adios , a famous trotter trained by one of the club founders Del Miller

And Adios's progeny continued winning around the world. I didn't know the legacy but his grandson Paleface Adios was a famous trotter in Australia, winning over 100 races.

Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula
Furnace Creek, Death Valley CA
There used to be Locust Valley in PA
Foulpointe (the actual 9 holer) in Madagascar

Peter--

Had forgotten there actually was a 9 holer in Madagascar (#10 in the world as I recall...as an 18 holer :-)  ).  Does it still exist? Have you been there?
