YouTube: A Round with Radar at Ladybank
« on: August 22, 2021, 05:11:47 PM »
Radar Riley plays the back nine (well, ten to sixteen) with Victor Perez. It was shot on a pretty miserable day a month or two ago, but you’ll get to see the latest bunker work and get a feel for the heathland nature of the Course.

Enjoy!

PS it’s a bit of a Ping advert!

Thanks Martin, Ladybank looks a lovely course.
There didn't seem to be anyone else out that day.  Is that normal? Can it be that quiet during the week?

James,
There’s a couple of folks pushing trollies in the background of some of the shots. It was a horrible day, so most of the members would have given it a bye!
We’ll get a game next time you’re up this side.
Cheers,
F.

excellent - 14 years have elapsed.  Too long.

ps  I thought this was in Dundee - it is closer to Glenrothes!

There are several episodes of  ‘A Round with Radar’ available to view on YouTube.
Various Pros, various courses. Ping, Ping, Ping though.

Victor lives in Dundee, but travels down to Ladybank for practice. Yep, it’s pretty much slap bang in the middle of the county. Sits in an area of sand and gravel, so drains like a Links!

Reference Dundee, ………… obscure question time, …………. anyone able and prepared to advise the name of the former Dundee Utd goalkeeper who is the father-in-law of the Winner of yesterday’s AIG Women’s Open?

Hamish McAlpine it is Robin!
As a very smart Dundonian I found the information by "googling". No local knowledge from this laddie!
Cheers Colin

Likewise Colin. Took about 10 seconds....although I did hear them reference him on Sky Golf yesterday.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching The Women’s Open this weekend. Second best event of the year (for watching) after the men’s version.

But surely they can’t get away with branding this one “The Open” rather than “The British Open”? It’s only been going since the seventies!

Hamish McAlpine.
100% correct.

You folks north of the border should be ashamed that it took a Taff to ask a question he already knew the answer too, an Englishman to answer correctly and a Dundonian who’s been in Aussie for yonks to confirm and even the Dundonian/Aussie had to look it up on the internet!

“Hamish, Hamish, what’s the score, Hamish what’s the score?” A chant heard many a time and the response was usually a big smile maybe accompanied by a hand gesture.
What a team DUFC had in the mid-1980’s. League winners and European finalists and semi-finalists too beating the likes of MU and Barca. Played super if sometimes awfa canny futba too.

Nice additional comment that the husband of the Winner of the recent AIG Women’s Open won the 2006 Scottish Amateur Championship.
