What I think is hilarious about all this is that we've been conditioned that it is not only acceptable, but should be perfectly normal, to go change into golf attire in a filthy gas station bathroom, as opposed to the immaculate facility to which you are en route.
I've done it many times, and I can't stand driving several hours to a top facility just to stop at the nearest greasy gas station off the exit and change my clothes. I've also worn my golf attire for the whole drive, and that is just as bad.
I think the worst is not being able to change and wear comfortable clothes after the round. A couple years ago, I drove 4 hours to play 36 holes in 100-degree weather. You can bet your bottom dollar I'm not driving 4 hours home in my sweaty golf clothes. All so a few millionaires don't blush at the sight of my bare calves. Bless their hearts.
