Way OT - Golf Bag in Pick-up

Can anyone recommend a good tool box for a pick-up truck bed that can hold a golf bag!

Mike,I went thru such a search for my son's pickup (Toyota Tacoma extended cab), and finally gave it up.  Long story, but nothing was deep enough in the wider part at the top of the boxes to hold a bag, and the narrower part at the bottom wasn't long enough for the bag to fit.  Add to that interior compartments, and you have a daunting task.  If you find something that actually works, I'd love to hear about it.

All the good ones I've seen are basically custom made. Most are just a few 2x4s or things like that (metal railings, like for shelves) can be used to fashion something, a sort of harness. One guy I know basically secured a hard-sided travel case to his trunk bed and would lock it after putting his clubs in.

a construction tool box that flush-mounts inside the bed of a pick up
My brother has a Lund, made of metal and 48 inches long (so I suppose long enough for a bag and a modern driver)  -- but he has a pretty big one ton pick-up with a wide bed, i.e. wide enough for the Lund to fit in snugly one side-to-other and tucked up right behind the cab. It locks in the front and opens from the top.

This doesn't answer your question, but the Rambox compartment on Ram pickups do fit golf bags.  They are usually used for fishing equipment, guns, ice and beer, and other things.  But I have seen golf bags fit into them.
