Played there yesterday and was floored at the condition of the course.


As usual the greens were fast and firm and the course was as well but the fairways were pretty beaten. Players clearly were not sanding their divots and it was rough


I am hoping they are not letting the course go, it is a jewel that I really enjoy.

For a public course that's did over 60,000 rounds last year it's held up pretty good. The greens are phenomenal.  The managing partners have been asked several times if the practice green is artificial turf, it's not! 


I've implored them to rake the bunkers more than a few times per week and prune the eucalyptus trees so they are more in line with the turf conditions.

I don't see public golf in the bay area changing much from this paradigm.  Given supply is so terribly under served based on the population, there's no motivation to spend the extra money to attract golfers as I see it. If you build it they will come...
