Private Non-Residential Clubs Opened Since 1990?
« on: December 26, 2019, 11:37:39 AM »
How many have opened in the U S, either corporate or member owned?

I'll start with my former club in the Philadelphia suburbs- Commonwealth, corporate owned- that opened in 1990.

Steve,

Including Commonwealth and Stonewall, 17 non-residential clubs opened after 1990 are GAP members.

Hayfields in MD - 1998 non-equity membership. Nice compact routing with no interior real estate other than 1 house next to 9’s tee box.

Tehama
Mayacama
Clear Creek
Granite Bay

(I believe there is some real estate associated with all these courses, but club membership is available to non-property owners. Same goes for Lahontan, Old Greenwood and Martis Camp around Lake Tahoe.)

Shouldn't Old Tabby be considered residential? Membership - I think I'm correct on this - is restricted to property owners.

Yes, Old Tabby , Colorado GC & Clear Creek have a residential component but may be selling limited memberships to non-residents.
