Really have enjoyed his writing style which you can almost imagine yourself there.  Well done Jaeger.

This write-up and that of the proceeding 12 holes has been most enjoyable to read and the photos are wonderful too. Well done Clyde and Jaeger.

Thanks Jeff and Thomas!

I’m not sure we realized how much writing we were signing up for when the idea of the series first came up last winter. Glad to hear we are finally getting the hang of it now ;D

The Addington and North Berwick are two of my all time favorites, so that made those especially fun. North Berwick’s 13th was actually the first hole we picked when drafting our consensus UK only Eclectic 18. We talked a little bit about that torturous process on a podcast w Andy.

Clyde has another great one about to come out this week too. #14 Hint: it’s his home course, lucky guy!

Cheers

Jaeger,

Nice write-up and pictures.  The Pit is a wonderfully quirky hole.

Some editorial comments:

There are no trees on the course.  There are certainly some to the left of 5 and the 8th but I don't believe that they are part of the course.

That's not Bass Island behind the 1st green. It's Lamb Island.  Bass Island is about 5 km to the north-east of the 1st tee.

That's not the Atlantic Ocean that you skirt on the 2nd hole.  It's the North Sea or perhaps the mouth of the Firth of Forth.  The Atlantic is way to the west on the other side of Ireland.
