DSRT Surf wave pool is coming to Palm Desert


The $200 million project will be built near the Desert Willow Golf Resort. Construction works start at the end of 2019.

One more reason not to go anywhere near the Desert Willow cart-ball courses.

I actually enjoyed the Firecliff course with its desert flowers and nature areas. Perfectly manicured fairways and rough along with smooth undulating greens. I dont mind the occasional  waterfall and the slightly rolling course is easily walkable for those that are anti cart. It is not Stone Eagle but as good as most publics in PS with a private club feel. Drop the kids at the waterpark and play golf in the winter sun. Merry Christmas!

Visitors do rave about Firecliff. Very well done landscaping. “Pretty” course. My disappointment is with generally quite slow greens speed, pace of play, formulaic hole designs and routing issues for walkers. Is a very popular public course, just not my cup of tea.
