I am reluctant to get into this thread as it becomes increasingly OT and political. But I can't resist at least one (?) observation. It is clear that the reason the item was posted is because Trump is the President and therefore, regardless of which political side one takes, his economic status is of greater interest than that of the average Joe. One might question the motives of those who chose to print it. But one cannot ignore that the facts are indeed facts. What troubles me during much of our current political discourse, which from time to time bleeds into this site, is that in discussing issues we can't even agree to respect factual data, even if it is inconvenient to our position. Relating this problem to GCA, we are faced with members opposed to cutting down trees who argue that their course is becoming too "easy". We have confronted them with data that shows scores are not improving and handicaps are not dropping, hence the course is by definition not "easier". But they are usually unwilling to accept the factual data because it does not conform to preconceived notions or preferences. I fear the same is true in politics which makes meaningful discussion on policy extraordinarily difficult if not impossible.
