Buck Club seems like the GCA project to fund....
Why?
1) The current organizer is a GCA member and seems to have a great vision and knows many members on this site already.
2) The proposed architects already have a terrific show model as they turned a pedestrian 9 holer into a gem. I've been out to the proposed site for TBC and there is plenty of space to work with.
3) Given its already occupied by a course, i'm guessing permitting will be far easier than starting from scratch, but just a guess.
4) The location is good, relatively secluded, and only 45 minutes from a major International airport.
5) Price should be relatively cheap as the current course is struggling to stay open.
6) This site is mostly flat, will make for a good walking course
7) It has quite a few older mature trees, which I think work well in adding interest and a large creek/small river that flows thru the property.
P.S. As far as off site attractions it has world class skiing less than 1 hour away in Park City. And if you're into top notch off roading, mountain biking, canyoneering, I'm not aware of anywhere better than Moab at 4 hours away.
