Michael Whitaker and I had the pleasure of playing Royal Portrush with a member of more than 60 years who recently passed away.  Mr. Tennant was a wonderful golfer and won many amateur tournaments but his most amazing accomplishment was that over his lifetime he had made a 2 on every hole on Royal Portrush.

I hate to even post, because these stories are so good.  But I eagled the hole #2 at my old course (Brown's Run, Middletown, Ohio), a par five, in three consecutive rounds.  I had not eagled it before, and I have not eagled it since (15+ years now).

In short, I used up all my good karma/luck in three rounds.

This will not be repeated ever on this hole unless 460 yard drives become the norm. #15 local club, par 5, just above 500 yards. My threesome went eagle, eagle, albatross. Hole changed to long par 4 promptly after.

Uh..... I think this takes the cake.  A 59 year old +4 handicap former marine shot a 57 with THREE (3) holes in one!  Best of all, two of them were on par 4's!  Here is the link:

Not sure I can believe that, but I agree it wins the cake but strange things do happen, at our club we have had a 353 yard holed from the tee, two in the same foursome made aces and in a pro event, two aces at the same hole (consecutive shots) the second from the following group. I have had two two's on par 4s once and another time made an ace and then eagled the last (for a 79) making a pair of eagles in a round is quite rare...two albatrosses  (I dunno).... Years ago a chap was -10 for 4 holes Tony ****thing from Chicago, he had back to back alberts sandwiched by two eagles not sure I can believe that. We have a member that went albatross 2, eagle 3 at 11 & 12 only to be ruined by a bogey at 13 and an 8 at 14, so he played the 4 holes in level par. We also have a member that made 4 eagles in a round in the Jersey Open I think and still a tour record.
A combination of whats good for golf and good for turf.
