This event is being held July 12-15 in Wheaton, IL. The USGA site had no information available about parking, practice round, or tickets. Does anyone have any further information or will that be posted online closer to the event date? I lived in Chicago for several years and like many have only heard great things about this piece of land and its designer. Are there others like me way more interested in the course than those playing in the event? Seems to be a bit of role reversal, making a trip to see a piece of land versus the players swinging the clubs.
I would love to see who may be interested in going to this event, even if only to walk 18-36 holes and share hsitory and stories versus watching some golf being played (especially if the crowds are light and there are no ropes like at the US Amateur).
