Al fell a year ago, and died soon after.
Its a sad anniversary for a lot of folks especially his wife Dianna who has done great keeping everything going.

She's selling for one simple reason - she doesn't golf and wants someone who does to own it and keep it going..  Just as it was so simple once we realized we were design/building for one man, its really just that simple with the future of his golf course.

Not like money in the bank is going to appreciate faster than the land.

There is a lot more than the golf course going with the sale, thus the reason for the sale price.

The runway mentioned is not in Port Lavaca, it's new and a 3-wood south of the 3rd green _ 5000' foot paved that can handle all but the big boys.

We've had some lookers, and I always hear the same thing when they play for the first time, almost to the word,  "its better than I thought it'd be"

It'll eventually sell, and maybe I'll stay on, but that's all about who buys it and how they plan to treat it.

Great aerial, Mike!

I doubt there's a cooler piece of land for sale in all of Texas.

Not much has changed since 2017.  It just needs one person to think it is great idea.

Anyone know how much acreage does just the course and clubhouse take up of the 1600 acres?

FWIW, the original listing for the course was for 475 acres at $7.7M.

I just saw something that said Wolf Point was bought by the Dormie group - is that correct?

Jerry,
Yes. It was covered in this thread, probably can go to last page     https://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,68032.50.html

I believe more accurately it was bought by the owner of the Dormie Group.

It will be interesting to see where Wolf Point slips into the ratings, now that it is more "public".

How is it more “public”?

It is not as exclusive, limited to guests of the previous owner.

Now it is limited to guests of the new owner.
