I would like to thank Anthony Fowler for hosting our group out at Flossmoor this past Saturday! I had very high expectations going into Flossmoor and they were greatly exceeded. The staff and the Food was most excellent too. Ray Hearn gave a wonderful presentation after the round and the before and after photos were mind blowing. The day and night improvement just through photos reminded me of Meadowbrook in the Detroit area.
I really enjoyed how the fairways blended into greens and the tilts were very effective. The course played firm and fast and with a 20 mph wind it dished out pleasure and pain! All the greens are accessible with any type of ball flight which is very important in my mind. Many short game options are abundant. The front is more nuanced in land movement and very effective, while the land on the back 9 is bold and a little more quirky in a good way. All in all a very very good course one could play day in and day out and not get bored!
The matches resulted in a 6.5 to 6.5 tie between the Tweddie Birds and the Ross Bosses.
