Capturing clouds like that over the church pew bunkers at Oakmont would be something.

Two from Cypress Point. For the Golf Course category, the view from the 2nd fairway across the 13th green.

For the Traditions category — maybe I'm pushing the boundaries, but a historic setting, caddies, an intimate gallery, match play, and the world #1 ranked amateur in the middle of the picture. I was excited to capture this one.

Standing on the the spectacular back tee on the 14th at Trump Aberdeen - and no we didn't play from there. You can just see the tee for the 'experienced' players tucked in on the right.

Ruediger,
Do you have more photos of Lofoten Links?
If so, any chance you could post them with some narrative? Separate thread perhaps?

Ruediger,

A subtext of your "Guardians of the Cup" photo that may be lost on most outside of the states is that of a young man wearing an Iowa Hawkeyes hoodie in Minnesota!

I was convinced there was already a photo tour here, but it seems there isn't. I'll try to do it sometime next week

Help  For More Effective Sizing of Your Entries:

Many of us have posted photographs that do not fit the pages.

Here's the remedy:

Post your image to Photobucket and find the button that looks like a paintbrush in a tablet.
It's the middle one in a row of five, top portion of your image.
Click on that. You have activated the 'Edit' button.

Your photo will reappear with a new, more detailed  menu on top.

CLICK 'RESIZE'
Not 'Crop'.
'RESIZE'.

The screen will provide new options for size parameters.
To be certain that a horizontal  shot fits the page, choose a maximum of  500 wide.
For vertical shots, you will want something narrower depending on crop proportions.
Your entire photo should appear on the page.

Next, find another munu, inside...'Sharpen'... Use it, or else your resized photo may become soft in the details.

Having resized and sharpened, hit the 'Save' button in Photobucket.

When your resized image appears, copy the address from the 'Direct' tab to the right of that photo.
Paste that address into one of these reply boxes.
Use the  img protocols with the [] and [/] on either side, no spaces.

Having pasted and protocoled,  hit the 'Preview' button in the reply box.
If it shows the photograph being too large or too small, return to Photobucket, resize again and paste again until you're pleased with the result.

Then, 'Save' it for real.

I hope this helps you.

Best of luck.

w.

This isn't the most memorable hole I played all year, but it resulted in one of my favorite results of the year.

15th at NCR (South). A long, uphill par 3. I was pretty happy with my hybrid shot that found the green, about 20 feet away.

Then our own Chris Sturges pulls out his hickories and hits one to this distance. I wear a size 10.

And for me

I'll nominate the 11th at Waterville as it captures 'Tranquillity' very well and the 16th at Cape Wickham.
