On what basis might Trump go to court?
Does he have a contract?
Does R&A have full right to decide what course to use for its tournaments?
I am in no way implying that Trump has actual grounds to sue, but its just sort of what he does.
Im more interested in knowing if the R&A would be willing to reinstate Turnberry as an Open venue in the event that trump was willing to sell.
Does anyone have a clue as to how much the R&A likes Turnberry as a venue? Is it a good venue or is the R&A also taking advantage of an oppertunity to remove Turnberry and add a new venue. Personally Id love to see the open return to Northern Ireland. RCD and Portrush seem to be the frontrunners although i was told the membership at RCD wasn't very interested in hosting another tournament, although they might make an exception for the open.
