Tom, What are you looking for these photos to capture? Clubhouse, bunkering, green complexes? Are you more interested in close up shots or more panoramas?

Good question!
With nearly all of the photos in the book being printed as a half-page image, it's essential to have a file size of at least 1 MB and preferably 2 MB, otherwise the photo risks being blurry [and the course in question will likely be offended].
My preference would be for photos that present a decent idea of a particular hole and how it may be played. I may use the occasional close-up of bunkers or a green, for variety's sake, but presumably only if these are exceptionally different. Panoramas where you can get a larger sense of the course are great, if they make sense in a half-page size ... but wide-angle shots tend to make features disappear at this size.
In the end, I am looking for a variety of images, but above all, images which give a clear picture of the course's character, and reduce the need to describe it verbally.
