Have never played the Castle, but seeing as it's on genuine linksland I thought how bad could it be?  I looked at some pictures and the shaping looks positively bizarre.  I will have to play it now just to see if it is that bad.  For a more accessible Doak 0, I recommend Hyland Hills (Gold) in the Denver area.  I just got done beating it up in the "Worst hole" thread.  I would feel bad, except for the fact that the place POUNDS rounds through there.  One of the busiest courses I'd ever seen.
Don't play too much golf. Two rounds a day are plenty.

It's not on genuine linksland. Far from it.
