Was it not overrated from the back tee? That's where I played it from ... and thought it was a helluva hole.

Why'd they abandon that tee?

John,
Slow day on the provocateur front? Taking shots at Sand Hills is a bit pedestrian for you.

It was a shot at the people who think it is a great hole.  It is a fine hole on a great course.

Now on to the second hole:  The hole that if we could play we would never play like in our dreams.

No.  It is not on a Doak course, yet.

Maybe he is just doing "roadwork" for a future Dismal Red vs. Sand Hills boxing match.

David,

You already disqualified me from hosting that match when you requested an objective reviewer, ie: someone who hates Dismal.

You win, from what I have observed you have to have a world class game to get on that green in two. It all seems so simple in my dreams.

Fascinating - in conceptual terms, in the specifics, and in its implications for all future gca-related discourse; and all the more so because JK cares not a whit about either the first or last elements, just the specifics, which makes both the concept and the depth "accidental".

The 10th at Riviera

(since JK hasn't played the Old Course, the other answer to just about every question ever posed here).

The 8th at Dismal

(self promoter that he is)
