It is 38th in the U.S. and 80th in the world on the LINKS 100, which is a lot closer to what I think of it.
I've heard some strange things about the course from a couple of GOLF Magazine panelists. One of them reported back to the rest of the panel that they thought I had turned over too much creative license to my associates on my more recent projects, starting with Rock Creek. I objected about that to Joe Passov pretty strongly, since whoever that was had no idea of the facts, and was just talking out of their ass. [For the record, I would say that the course where my associates had the most creative input was Ballyneal, which no one seems to mind.]
I think the problem is just that they have a small sample size, and there are a couple of panelists who, for whatever reason, didn't like it and are holding it down.
