I heard about this when I was out at Sebonack for the Women's Open. The rumor was that it was Discovery Land Co. that was looking to get permitting for the project, for a property where David Kidd had routed a course a few years back.
However, the two people who mentioned it both said that it would never happen, because the property is in the pine barrens and any development there is strictly limited. Hard to imagine that Discovery would pursue something that's impossible, but if you haven't spent much time in the Hamptons, you can only imagine the politics of new development.
