After some discussion earlier this year, we have scheduled the OH gca meetup for August 10th & 11th in Cincinnati.

Golf:
Saturday August 10th – Clovernook CC (Langford & Moreau, 1923)

• Tee Times beginning at approximately 2PM

Sunday August 11th – Hyde Park G&CC (Donald Ross, 1920)

Dinner:
Saturday August 10th – Clovernook CC

• After golf, we will have dinner at Clovernook.
• Jason is arranging to have Bob Harrison, Clovernook’s Golf Professional Emeritus, join us.  Bob would give a brief presentation on the club’s history and development along with a Q&A session.  He's been a part of the club for many decades and has a real appreciation of the Langford influence on the course.
• Tim Liddy plans to attend as well (work schedule permitting), and I am sure will share with us details of his work at Hyde Park (for a preview, see http://timliddy.com/hyde-park-golf-country-club)

Notable Items:

• Huge thanks to Jason Thurman (Clovernook) and Tim Liddy (Hyde Park) for arranging access for our group to these two great courses.
• Clovernook does not accept credit cards, so please bring cash for fees, caddies, food & drink.
• I have not yet researched best lodging options, because I wanted to get this information posted.  I will talk to Jason and others in the area to get recommendations and share on this thread ASAP.
• Clovernook (NW of downtown Cincinnati) and Hyde Park (NE of downtown) are approximately 15 miles apart.

Please PM me or respond to this thread with questions, comments, and most importantly commitments.  We will have limited spots, but everyone is welcomed to attend.  I am looking forward to seeing some of you again and meeting others for the first time.  Thank you.

For those of you that haven't played HPCC it is a real treat. I've played there almost 25 years since it was my high school team's home course. And, the restoration work is fantastic.

I'm glad there is plenty of interest. I have to find out the final number of players each course can accomodate.  So far we are good.  I am in Montana this week, largely 'off the grid'...once I return, I will put together the next level of details (commitments, wait list, etc). It really is shaping up to be a fun couple of days.  Looking forward to it.  Thanks!

And I agree with the comment above that Hyde Park is a real treat. Great course, wish I could make that one.
