I live nearby and I've played Crabapple several times; I have to say I've been unimpressed each time.
There is nothing wrong with the golf course. It is, as several have mentioned, HUGE. Gigantic piece of property, big fairways, big bunkers, big greens. But it is, to use Kenny Baer's expression, blah. Very few holes are memorable or compelling, and it is not a course that you would kill to play again.
Anthony Nysse, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I don't think Crabapple is even remotely in the same league as Cuscowilla. I think it could have been; it is that good of a piece of ground. But it just isn't.
