Fantasy Golf 2013: FIVE MINUTES TO POST TIME-SEE LAST POST

The USA PGA Tour season begins around 3:30 Eastern Standard time on Friday. You may still join our burgeoning league. PM me and I will send you registration information.

Let me know if you are interested in participating next year in our unofficial and unaffiliated GCA2013FG Yahoo league. PM me with your email. I'd rather send out bulk emails from my gmail account than do it via the GCA website. $45 gets you in for 2013. All $$$ gets returned to the players. This year, we had payouts for weekly winners and top 3 for winter, spring, summer and overall.

NOTE TO PARTICIPANTS: The field has been set on Yahoo, so you may make your selections at any time.

Before anyone gets in, understand that you have to set your lineup by Wednesday night, then change it Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. It's not a once-a-week thing. It's a sickness.

Kevin, I'll take that as a compliment.  haha.  I'm looking forward to the 2013 fantasy season, and am hoping the luck continues. Best wishes for a healthy and happy new year to everyone.  

Also, just a thought Ron....I'm assuming you still have everyone's email addresses from least year? It may be helpful to fire out a group reminder.  I just randomly happened to look on GCA this morning.  I'm sure im not the only one that may be neglecting GCA given the holiday season.

Pat,

I would email yahoo and ask them. Because it is shockwave/flash driven, the ability to drag and drop is critical. I don't believe that Apple  embraces that technology in its portable devices.

That was a problem 2 years ago, but last year the roster changes were iPhone compatible. You could change starters via check-box, in addition to the "drag & drop" method.

And one more thing...by all means, invite friends and co-workers. As of this key stroke, we have 8 guys signed up (well below our 40 from last year) and can always use new blood to flush out the ... missing blood.

In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

The official USA PGA Tour season (and the unofficial GCA Fantasy Golf temporada as well) begins this Friday in Hawaii (or wherever your computer is.) While you could play beginning any other week of the season, you do not want to miss week one, when hundreds of points are accrued in a small-field, no-cut event. PM me (or email to buffalogolferATgmail.com) and I'll get you the registration link.
