Nice shout-out to Musgrove Mill GC on national TV.

I was watching yesterdays Golf Channel Morning Drive from Kiawah on my DVR this morning and with Kiawah hosting the first major ever in SC, they posed the questions "What other course in SC could host the 2nd major in state history?"

I was quite surprised (pleasantly though) to hear Gary Williams lead off first by saying "Musgrove Mill GC is a great rugged course that would be a great test.", before also saying "it doesn't have the infrastructure so it could never happen."  Which is certainly true.  But pretty cool to hear your home club mentioned on a national golf show as being a place worthy of a major.

Oh to dream...

ps speaking of shout-outs, I gotta give one to my fellow member, our very own homegrown Will "Dirt" McGirt who got the phone call on Monday advising him that he was off the alternate list and playing in his first major ever.

Hadn't heard that Daryl. I think I'd like to see how the big boys would do at MM. I think they would score pretty well. Club pros have trouble there to be sure.

That is cool.  I agree with Tommy though -  the Tour pros seem to score well everywhere.

As I mentioned on a prior thread, I am really curious to see what impact -- if any -- the Champions bermuda greens have on scoring at Sedgefield next week.
