No Preserve?

Thanks for stealing my joke, Henderson.

Nice effort, William.

Looks like a great day. Congrats, William!

Were the courses set up as usual? Or a little easier -- slower greens, more accessible pins -- to accommodate getting that many people around the courses in time?

Great Bandon coverage, as always, but what about the other 49 states?  My grievance:  No Grieve road trip thread.

It probably was nice having the US Open on the west coast.

Howard,

Regular set-up with 3-4 groups starting on each course at 5:15-5:35 in a rotation of oldest to youngest Bandon>>>Old Mac...so about 48 guys and gals or so...

Definitely a full day with just enough time between 18s to change socks.

Most difficult thing was to remember to take a picture on each hole, LOL.

Emile,

Yep Brandel was there and so was Alex Miceli...don't know who else industry wise was there.

Was lucky to have played with Duke Butler, a great player who finished with the same ball he started with, and only missed one fairway all day.

We all enjoyed several beverages immediately after finishing!

Sorry you couldn't make it this year.

Thanks

That was probably harder than the 72 holes at Bandon.

Truly impressive feat and photo exhiibit.

Pete and Joel...

Those last 2 comments are funny!!!!

Walking and carrying for 2is pretty good stuff...give you an appreciation for caddy work with 2 bags and 36.

Had not looked at this in awhile, fun :)

Thanks

If anyone is about to do some unaccustomed walking, here is an anti-blister tip from my son who is a long distance hiker.
(he has hiked from Germany to Italy, England east to west, Appalachian trail etc.)

Rub stick anti-perspirant on your feet each morning.  NOT deodorant but the white anti-perspirant.

No more blisters.

Thanks Gray for bringing this back up.

Regarding blisters, I always wear two pairs of socks when I play golf (carrying over from always wearing two pairs while playing basketball back when I was a young man).

Also, I put just a little bit of Vaseline between the toes.

It's been a long time since I had any blisters. Of course, I've never walked 72 in a day either!
