Yes, lots of fun.  Some very good holes especially the all world 12th.

The start is a bit weak, but things peak up around the 4th tee. The back nine is very good, with some outstanding original holes.

It's probably the best course in the east bay, though it is not realistically walkable for most.

Very challenging course. Great views. Kyle and I played in a tourney there in May a few years ago and almost froze to death so make sure to bring your cold weather clothes even in May or June.

I think it was late April, but your recomendation is a good one. It can also be quite warm, even in January. Winds can also blow quite briskly on certain days.
