"...there is no describing the look on Jims' face when questioned about the styling golf shoes for the golfer who doesn't walk."

A very touching read by Ben Cox's dad Ken on their Hundred Hole Hike experience.

Truly wonderful.

I wonder if there could be a most inspiring golfer award each year for the HHH.  The hike (it seems to me) was started to benefit and inspire Ben. Maybe each year, Jim could give an award to the golfer that most exemplified the basic goals that the HHH was founded upon? I know I am being way too forward here, but I would nominate Eric Smith for this year's award. Eric signed up to hike at Dismal River, and there were doubters, there were people that told him he could not do it, there were those that laughed at his quest. Turns out Eric was able to walk all 100 holes on the Nicklaus course, and prove to those who questioned him, that with determination, guile, and a little motivation from doubters, he was able to overcome the odds. Congrats to Eric, your walk was anything but Dismal, it was inspiring, and I assume it was exactly what Ben needed to see!

Keith,

We have an award called the J Smith Ferebee award for the hike who goes above and beyond and exemplifies the spirit of the hike. I agree Eric would make a great choice. The nomination and voting is by the fellow hikers.

"This was golf in all of its glory."

Great article by Golf Digest's Matt Ginella on his 100 Hole Hike experience.

Wonderful story.

A great article indeed! :)

I have to admit, I was pretty winded by the time the WSJ reporter caught up to us. I think we were winding up the 7th round and I can barely remember what questions he asked as we continued our hike.  The Hundred Hole Hike is my favorite golfing event of the year.  It tests both your stamina as well as creativity. As the rounds continue, it also makes you look at the architecture in a different light.  I highly encourage you to give it a try if you haven't done so yet.

More good visibility for HHH as Jim, Bill and Danie talked with Fox Business this morning:
