I'm not sure how many would be ready to anoint it great, but I can't think of one at Wine Valley.

Love Wine Valley. Love it!

But no controversial holes? Any with ponds count as controversial -- especially hole #9.

Bandon Dunes #16 seemed like a very controversial hole, back when people still considered BD worth talking about on this site.  I think it's a great hole, especially now that the fairway to the left was extended.  Plenty of drama can arise, both on the tee shot and the approach.

I would call #9 as a hole where I would have done it differently to avoid being near the pond...but I've never felt its controversial.

But its the "least" of any hole on the course in my book.

And if you are including #9 based on water, you must also do same for 3 and 6.
