Jud,
When asked if it's Player, Geoff says "Not that ridiculous, but not good" at least the way I read it. Lonegan then guesses Norman and there is no response (yet) from Geoff.
If Geoff's info somehow comes from cryptic clues from Gil, it might indicate that the committee had given some indications which teams were in or out, no? Of course, he may very well have other sources, since Gil is sworn to secrecy.
Mike,
I read some of them, but as I also posted, its quite possible that a wowser presentation "clarified" what the committee thought it needed for them.
In any event, it looks like it might be a "Cinderalla story" in the making!
Kalen,
It is not unusal for these committees to realize they need more time. I recall Laredo and waiting to hear back. It is excruiating. I also recall El Paso and sitting in the airport bar with Forrest waiting for the flight home when word quickly came via an official phone call that Faz got that job. Hey, I just got word a few days ago of a commission that I had submitted for in November, with a almost as secretive process. I emailed to say I presumed they had gone another direction, and they emailed back saying they had tabled it, and then the next day, they emailed to say I had the job. Go figure! It happens all ways.
A small committee can tend to deadlock on such an important decision. My guess is that six firms will open up the whiskey tonight and two won't have any fingernails left by tomorrow morning, if not sooner.
