Tom - you gotta give Jim Colton something for that (first) and excellent effort!  And something to Tim for trying to sneak in "some Brazilian guy" as one of his picks.  Tough competition no matter how you slice it.  I'd assume that at least a few of the contenders would be right now cozying up to "the client" to try to figure out his tastes/expectations, except who the heck knows who the "client" really is?

I think that is an accurate assessment.  I would expect at least 2 "non-traditional" candidates.

I put the over/under on Americans out of the 8 at 5.5.

Jeff - my guess is that it's more like "three Brazilians you've never heard of, a couple of wealthy Belgians, a powerful Asian contingent or two, the requisite dim-witted brother-in-law, and someone's former mistress".  Of course, no one is ever gonna tell you that, but....

I'm guessing RGD wins the bid, but is then subsequently disqualified after organizers discover that after Tom told us on Oct. 18:

I think they should have each of the 8 finalists design two holes on the course and then require that the remaining two holes be concensus designs. That would be more entertaining than the Olympic golf scheduled to be played on the course.
