The course was expanded to 18 holes after the Graduate College was built in 1911-1914 and a member, Gerard Lambert created the routing.

When Flynn redid the course in 1926/1927 he largely used Lambert's routing with some modifications.

Gerard (Jerry) Lambert, Princeton Class of 1908 headed the Lambert Pharmacal Co. of St. Louis, the developers and manufacturers of Listerine. At one time the pond which is present on holes 16 and 17 was referred to as Lake Listerine. The Lambert family is interesting. Jerry's brother was an early aviator, Lambert field in St. Louis is named for him and he golfed on the US Olympic Team in 1900 and 1904.
