Raleigh Country Club

I believe this was the last course designed by Donald Ross.  Late 1940's.

List updated.  As an aside, due to the dearth of courses to discuss during this decade, it might be interesting to examine the war efforts of various golf related folks.  Kind of akin to MacKenzie's invention of camouflage, but focusing on WWII.

Salag Luft III, Germany, 1943, designers - R.A.F. P.O.W.'s

No list of '40's courses would be complete without the inclusion of this par 55, 1220 yard tribute to golfing spirit.

Sounds like an honorable mention on a world list at the least.
