Was Osama a golfer?
« on: May 02, 2011, 11:23:24 PM »
You have to love the good folks at google for putting Osama's compound on map. Also he lived very close to the local golf club in Abbottabad. Has anyone played there? I wonder is having a golf course nearby got him playing the game. He could have played with the local Paki Generals and bet American arms.

Alas, he might have been a productive spokesman for selling golf clubs.

The new R11 is "explosive" off the tee!

My new Cleveland CG14 wedge "blasts" the ball sky high!

Etc.

It actually appears there may have been a little golf tied to this ordeal. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42874398/ns/world_news-death_of_bin_laden/

Tricks I did not die in 9/11 but i did spend a week sleeping on the ground in Newfoundland when my flight from Glascow to New York was diverted that day. My daughter spent 2 hours thinking I was dead. Two hours is not life but it is two hours more than any father wants to scare his child. Nor I am I a member of the last two administrations who screwed around spending billions of dollars with the military industrial complex fighting limited wars accomplishing very little tonothing while many more great Americans and local citizens died or were hurt. Nor was I the numerous true fools who looked us dead in the eye and discussed the strategic importance of our relationships with the Paki leadership. Oh those same Paki political and military people are laundering our money back into the US these days. Check your local property records. The mid to bottom level mini marts and hotels are becoming great places for Paki money to land here in the last decade.  So when one laughs a little at thought of Osama playing golf with Paki generals laughing at us all the way to the bank. It is maybe a bit of dark humor but there is a tad of truth in it. Ah there is the the fun, when we really look at ourselves and our governments actions. Maybe one day we will all read President DDE speech in 1959 warning us about his branch of government, take it to heart and demand more honesty of our leaders.  Mike It would appear raters are not welcome. We bring the wrong kind of attention to a club that is all about business. I am not sure about terrorists and want to be terrorists. Maybe they make up the caddie staff.

Osama bin Laden has (allegedly) been killed and buried at sea. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't George W Bush and Tony Blair promise to dance on his grave?

Never thought a guy with the name Tricks O'Hooligan wouldn't have a sense of humor.

I actually did read UBL was a decent player; he played a soft draw until he totally lost his swing sometime in his early 20's, losing your game can drive you to do crazy things.  Wasn't Ian Baker Finch marking his ball with a dingleberry for an extended period in the mid 90's?

Osama was indeed an avid golfer.

He even had his own custom golf cart.....much to Melvyns dismay!

Wish I could see more detail. The fuzzyness of the bunkers make it unclear what is going on. I wonder if they are being filled in?

Don't know if Osama was a golfer. Do know that OBAMA is.  The President demonstrated a James Bond-esque flair with a quick 9 holes on Sunday before heading to the situation room. Turns out that the guy who supposedly "pals around with terrorists" is in fact the guy who hunts them down and kills them.  Thank you Mr. President.
