Can we resume "NGLA - Golf's Enchanted Journey?"
« on: March 25, 2011, 11:33:43 PM »
In February of 2009, Patrick Mucci started an excellent thread titled “NGLA – Golf’s enchanted journey.”  I really enjoyed reading his thoughts on each of the holes, but after the 6th hole he moved on to other topics.

C’mon, Patrick.  I’ll supply photos if you’ll start talking again. The journey is way more interesting than that 32 page (and growing) NGLA thread.

Mr. Mucci is a well-known tease.

Sort of reminds one of Forrest Richardson's abbreviated tour of Foulpointe.....

Jeremy is correct.  The Short was the last one.

In my original post above, I've linked to all the prior hole descriptions.  I think you can see why I want you to resume the journey.

Ok - after John's request, we got hole #7 back in March/April.  This is one of the better thread combos I've seen.

Would love to see the continuation of the thread (staring with #8  ;) )

Thanks!

Gentlemen,

The ayes have it!

I had bookmarked all the previous threads and was hoping beyond hope that Pat's stuttering production would not peter out.

John M. I think your offer to provide the photos is a great idea...... none  of the enchantment will be lost will it?

Cheers Colin

Gentlemen,

If it rains this weekend, I'll continue with the Journey.

JKinney, are you sure the last hole described was the short ?  For some reason I thought it was # 7.
Could you double check.  Thanks

Once completed, the thread could be edited to insert images in the appropriate sections of text. This would make for a world class "In My Opinion" piece. Of course the original thread would be preserved as the supporting comments add real value to the discussion.

Pat - We ended the discussion on "St. Andrews" (#7) with analysis of its superb green complex, as I recall. Now we're walking across the short hogback to Bottle's tee. You're up.

Please, please...anything to get Patrick back into a productive endeavor on something he is expert on....the golf holes at NGLA and their strategies.

His recent unfortunate foray into historic revisionism is clearly not something he's well equipped for, nor is it a productive use of his time.

If you guys can keep him focused, more power to you.
