Effin' Kemba Walker (says the Pitt fan...). I oughta cut his hamstring so he can't follow through on anything...

Fletch is probably my 2nd most quotable movie. Maybe Wall Street.

Serious question:

How much of this stuff actually comes out of your mouth in your real life?  I'm guessing more than any of us realize...(either that, or I'm completely insane) [don't answer that...] :)

Whenever I get a result on the golf course that I don't necessarily "deserve", I invoke Gene Hackman pleading for his life in Unforgiven, where he tells Clint Eastwood, "I'm a carpenter, I'm building a house, I don't deserve to die."  To which Eastwood, aiming his weapon at Hackman's head, replies, "Deserve's got nothin' to do with it."  Boom.

I've lost track of how many times I've watched that scene. Any time it's on cable, I watch just that final scene. Amazing.

To this day, whenever my pal and I play, any striped shot is followed by "that's a peach, hon" in such a tone that has our playing partners wondering.

Al and Ty are losing 7-2 after nine holes.

I have a t-shirt which is the "no bare feet" sign.

Also, all of the default Windows sounds on my computer are clips from the movie. My exclamation beep sound is the clang from Al's ball richocheting off the ball-washer, and my program error is Ty Webb going "it's really awful".

Is this your place Carl?
Yeah, whaddya think.
It's really, uh... it's really awful.

Why don't you sit down?
Uh no, I don't wanna stick to anything.

Just a few favorites that have not been mentioned yet.  Bottom line, the entire movie is amazing.

I like you, Betty.  It's Danny, sir.
Gambling is illegal at Bushwood, and I never slice.
Hey, you scratched my anchor.
Are you my pal, Mr. scholarship winner?
Don't sell yourself short judge, you're a tremendous slouch.
Why don't you improve your lie a bit, sir.  Yes.  Winter rules.
So I say, hey, Lama.  How about a little something, you know, for the effort?
Hey whad they do die on you, Tony?
No no good shot, right on the beach.
You know people say I'm an idiot, you know because I'm the assistant greens keeper.  Aw, people don't say that about you . . . as far as you know.
Buddies for life, I think.

So, I hear that the entire Carl/Ty scene was off the cuff.  Can anyone confirm that?

A couple more (hopefully I don't repeat previously mentioned ones):

Pathetic? Maybe to you Lacey. But for me, there's a subtle perfection in everything I do. I've got my own standards, my own way.

Yeah, well, you're uncle molests collies.

Absolutely true. The movie had wrapped when that scene was shot, and the entire thing was improvised. I have a documentary which shows an alternate version which isn't as good... very interesting.

I'm fairly certain that Bill Murray doesn't have a single scripted line in the entire film.

One year on tour, I was actually paid to wear caddyshack clothing.
Guy got the license to make the clothing and heard that I was a) not quite right
b)in a way offbeat way, attached to the movie

All my shirts had a Bushwood CC logo on the chest  (complete with gopher)
and "Be The BAll"  on the sleeve.  It was quite fun

Pat, do you have any idea how I can get my hands on that incredible cardigan Rodney was wearing?

I think Dr Huxtable has it

My Halloween costume won't be complete until I have that...
