Please find enclosed some more information about this publication including an ordering form:

The Golfing Annuals usually give a lot of information about early golf courses so I expect some valuable historic
information in this reprint edition - let's see.....

I was hoping that they were going to publish each edition when I saw Seans post, I suppose this is a kinda 'best of'. £45 is a bargain for the history. I never see many 1911 -1925s up for grabs at auctions, perhaps those may be next or is there a copyright issue.

Adrian,

there were 23 volumes published from 1888-1910 and none after 1910 so that's it....

Well the name changed to Golfers Handbook but basically its the same book. The 2011 book is just out I have always considered it the same run. It is a bit like watching trees grow! There is never much difference in one year to another but a snapshot every 10 is quite usefull.

Adrian,

I don't want to be typical German but may I correct you: The Golfer's Handbook which you are referring to and which is still published today was first published in 1899. So it is probably the longest-running (and also most repetitive) annual golfing publication and shouldn't be mixed up with the Golfing Annual as from 1899 to 1910 both Yearbooks were published (and then there was also the Nisbet's Golf Year-book, in red cloth like the Golfer's handbook, published from 1905 to 1914).

The Golfing Annual usually contained more information for every single golf course sometimes also with small description of the course etc.
