Old Town Club - Fall Pics

The interior course views have been incredible this Fall with the colors and textures that broomsedge has added to all the open spaces.

Dunlop,

The contrast looks great. A slow process but worth every minute if done right,

Hope all is well in North Carolina.

From the write-ups I read about this place and the atmosphere there this looks like just a simply fantastic place for a round of golf.  Seeing these pictures just makes it even more appealing.  Great pictures.

Great stuff on those pictures.  Thanks for posting.  The contrasts are significant.  I must say it had to be very early or very late in the day, the lighting was wonderful.

It must be kept in mind that the elusive charm of the game suffers as soon as any successful method of standardization is allowed to creep in.  A golf course should never pretend to be, nor is intended to be, an infallible tribunal.

I love how the tress are trimmed in the photo of hole 11.  If trees are trimmed properly it can restore views across holes without having to resort to cutting down the trees.  Perhaps this is a happy middle ground most clubs could support.

Great pictures!  After making it out to Prairie Dunes and finding a new appreciation for Perry Maxwell this course is now high on my list of courses to play.  The man could sure contour a green....

Ari,

Have you seen his greens at Crystal Downs?
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Yes, CD is a fantastic golf course with amazing greens.  IMO the best course in Michigan.
