Matt...do a search for posting pictures.  There should be several threads explaining the process.

Matt,

you said "We did not take a cart at national. Our caddy drove our clubs for us"

Your caddy drove the cart?

that doesn't make any sense, why would the caddy take a cart ?

I was on the trip with Matt and can answer your question.  The caddy took a cart because there were 3 of us and only one of him.  We teed off at 6:30 and he was the only caddy left at that point.  I guess in that sense he was more of a forecaddy than a caddy.  He had one cart and the 3 of us walked.

The day you arrive at the first tee and someone wants to play and years later he is a dear endearing friend.
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

When I was in second grade I opened a pack of basketballcards and it had Wilt Chamberlian and Lew Alcinder in the same back. That's all I got.Oh I forgot.....I partnered with Mayhugh and Huckaby at the same KP AND played match play against Bill McBride at the same event. That explains why they all three hate me now.

Thanks for bringing back some fond memories.....seems like you had a mix of weather - did you play 36 on the last day ?

The only rain that we saw was the first round on sunday at Bayonne. We had an hour and a half rain delay but other then that the weather was perfect.
We did not play 36 the last day. We had lunch at the beach club and then went on the members boat back to Groten. It was a special place
