For those of you who haven't formed your foursomes, I'll be posting a list of unassigned golfers and you can try to make your own foursome before we do the final pairings this weekend.

Also, please provide Kim with your walk/ride preference, shirt size and mailing address by no later than 2:00 on FRIDAY, the 24th.

Thanks

Patrick, as Tom Paul's legal guardian could you please keep him from posting until after the event.  My wife looked in on this thread and is insisting  that I stay home rather than "mingle with those crazed Yankees."

Thanks.

I just got the 4th group approved at Hackensack. We have 15 players. One more open spot. The course is in magnificant shape.

We should look to tee off between 10 and 11:30 AM. I will be there by 9:30.

Mixed play starts at 11:30. Joe Fairey is arriving at Newark airport at 9:40, this may be cutting it close. I'll play with Joe in the last group (and I have reserved a 12:02 time in case we need it and can't get off before 11:30). I need one volunteer to play in the last group with Joe and me.

The pro shop # is 201-261-5505 if you have any problems on Sunday morning.

My email is wbrightly@mgbinsurance.com if you have any questions. My work # is 888-642-6426.

Let me know if you have a preference for early or late start time in the 10:00-11:30 band.
Also if you have a preference for taking a caddy or riding. Sorry, can't carry your own bag at that time.

There is valet parking, so leave your car in front, then walk down the steps on the right for lower locker room. Ladies through the main door to the back of the building.). Locker room attendant is Romero, tell him you are my guest.

Shorts OK, no short shorts or cargo pants. Collared shirts required. Sorry Jerry, you can't wear your Tiger mock necks :)

Here are the players:

Jerry Kluger
Mike Cirba
Steve Shaffer
Joe Bausch
Mark McKeever
Jon Lyon
Alan Fuentes
Dan Hermann plus 1
Rob Waldron
Joe Fairey
Bill Brightly
Matt Ward
Justin Broderson
Dean Paolucci

Please let me know if I missed anyone who wants to play.

As an aside, in the lower locker room we have hung all the old aerial photos and plans that will depict the various changes that have taken place since Charles Banks built HGC in 1927-28. It is not the happiest story, but is very reflective of CGA history.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Bill,

This all sounds great.  I would prefer to take a caddy rather than a cart.  It should be a fantastic day.

Thanks for making the arrangements. Is anyone planning to stay overnight in the area? If so can you recommend a hotel that will be affordable and convenient to both Hackensack and Mountain Ridge? Thanks

Bill,

Shouldn't spots be for ONLY those attending Monday's GCA.com event at Mountain Ridge.

Many are traveling quite some distance and I'd rather see them accomodated rather than a non-participant.

I assumed that all the guys on my list are also playing Mountain Ridge on Monday. My intent was to offer up a place to play for guys traveling to New Jersey. I have 16 spots and 16 players as of now, but must give preference to attendees of the Mountain Ridge event.

I have no preference regarding the shirt. Thanks again for all your efforts bringing together the facilities and the speakers. See you Monday.

Mike,

There are a number of hotels in Fairfield, NJ, right on Route 46 less than 5 minutes from Mountain Ridge.

And one of them has a nice Italian Restaurant in it, Calandra's.

Bill,

I am participating in the Mountain Ridge event on Monday and currently one of the fortunate 16 playing Hackensack on Sunday.  But since I live just across the river if there is someone else traveling in from out of town who'd like to play Hackensack Sunday I'd yield my spot to an out-of-towner (as it were).

Just let me know.

Chris

I'll be staying at the Hampton Inn in Fairfield.  It looks like it's about 5-10 minutes from Mountain Ridge and half an hour from Hackensack.

OK, I think I have nailed down the field for the warm up round at Hackensack on Sunday 9/26. Here are the targeted tee times:

10:50
Mark McKeever
Alan Fuentes
Dean Paolocci (Walk)
Chris Shaida (Walk)

11:00
Mike Cirba
Joe Bausch
Steve Shaffer
Jon Lyon (walk)

11:10
Rob Waldron (Ride)
Dan Hermann (Ride)
Laura Hermann (Ride)
Justin Broderson (Ride)

11:20
Joe Fairey
Jerry Kluger
Leo Magrath
Bill Brightly

If you have a preference for walking or riding, please let me know and I'll do my best to accomodate you.

Hopefully people will arrive by 10 to 10:15. There will be coffee and danish in the grill room (coed), and we have a full practice facility. I'll be there by 9:30. I'll be hanging out in the lower mens locker room and can show you the aerials, etc. that depict our architecural history, if anyone is interested.

Let me know if you need directions. If any problems arise Sunday morning, please call the pro shop 201-261-5505 as I do not carry my cell phone on the course.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Am also at Hampton...have one guy with me and we have never spent the nite in a really nice hotel this close to the city...I was told the doors were on the inside and that sometimes you could even have the maids give you extra little soaps and shampoos to take home as souvenirs.  Am excited....our car will be the one that has the "hell no we ain't forgettin" bumper sticker on it...

Bill,

Thanks again for hosting those groups at Hackensack, it's a nice addition to the get together at Mountain Ridge.

I'm sure that they will really like Hackensack.

Where better to place a Bible than in the hands of a thief.

Also, is there any truth to the rumor that Mathew J. Ward is attending and will conduct a long driving exhibition after play to demonstrate his prodigious length?

Wow, the two-day event (Hackensack--Mountain Ridge) is getting more exciting as the day approaches.  I played Teugega in Rome, NY to get the Ross juices flowing.  I cannot wait to see the Ross course at Mountain Ridge, and I am just as excited to see the improvements at Hackensack.  It will also be good to see GCA friends old and new.

The question remains: should I bring paraphernalia for the titans of GCA (Morrissett, Mucci, Klein, etc.) to autograph for my friends and I? ;D ;D ;D

Maybe Scott Warren would want a Ran Morrissett-autographed visor as a wedding present?

How many golf courses has that trio designed and built?
You want some valuable "GCA" autographs, go for Mike Young and George Bahto; and perhaps Ran in anticipation of the completion of Cabot Links.
