I very much agree.

I don't like the flyovers nearly as well as still images, though it's much improved if they are actual flyovers and not the computer-generated type.

I also enjoy the tour of WeKoPa, which is really just a reproduction of their yardage book, but one I quite like as a way to give two impressions of the hole.

That's funny. My brother-in-law, the computer graphics artist, highly recommends Flash. What business did you say you were in Richard?

I agree with Steve Jobs that Flash is unsecure, unstable, and not open. Many of the zombie machines in existence today were through Flash vulnerabilities. You can create great course tours without it. Don't force people to install something that they don't want to.

And based on the target market, I would think the golf courses would want to be iPad and iPhone friendly.

As someone who knows next to nothing about software, I also agree with Richard.  I've rarely seen Flash enhance the interface. Some cool effects, but no improvement in usability and it slows things down.
