Desert Forest is the perfect desert course, it does not need to be changed so wayward golfers can find their balls! 

I haven't played there since 1998 and doubt they have changed much other than not over seeding, a practice I thought was being reduced by 10% per year in Arizona.  I was at a meeting in 1998 when we were told we were to lose 10% of the rye each year (at TPC Scottsdale).   At the same meeting we were told it cost 2.29 worth of water to grow a pound of tomatoes, however that water was subsidized.
