Marty:

I am coming over for the event.  I had to write a nice letter to the EIGCA to see if they would let me come, since I'm not a member of any of the three organizations, and they said it was okay.

I am coming as part of a small SAGCA contingent that includes Paul Mogford, Ross Perrett, Graham Papworth, Ben Davey, Phil Ryan, George Diakogeorgiou, Bob Harrison and possibly Richard Chamberlain. Will be good to meet! The excitement may be a bit too much!

Tom
Will be good to catch up too.

How could I miss this one, especially as it's in my home town.
I'II be there on a press pass, so it would be great to meet up.

All,
I'm not a member of any of these august bodies, but I'd be delighted to meet up in the auld grey toun with all for golf/dining/drinkies experience.
Brian P, how much is an EIGCA membership these days? Maybe it's time I did join (given my rapidly impending redundancy... :'()
best,

You refuse to join any club that would have you as a member.

Niall, Cool!
Given the Doak and the Crafter Oz contingents will be in town, I'm beginning to formulate a plan: A GCA members Round on the EDEN, followed by a whisky-fuelled, vociferous, banner-wielding protest outside the doors of the Links Trust HQ with banners like:

"It's a STEELY, Dan" (Thanks, Tony - that's a beaut...)
"Colt, the Father, MacK, the Son and Steel, the Wholly Lost...."
"Harry Shap - He's our Chap!"

Hate is such a buzz!!!!

cheers,
FBD.

Dear Attendees,
I'm sooooo looking forward to our Eden round (and combined critical analysis session...) on Sunday morning. Try and not overdo the Scottish hospitality too much on Saturday night!
I assume we're meeting up at the Eden clubhouse...
cheers,
MB.

The weathers not looking that hopeful and I'm stuck in Elgin with my waterproof trousers in Glasgow. Any chance you've got a spare pair of waterproof breeks ?

Niall,
I do have a spare pair and will pop them in the car.

All,
be aware that British Summer Time starts at 1am in the wee small hours of Saturday night/Sunday morning, so we also get one hour less in bed. Boo!

cheers,
FBD.

FBD,

Is it possible to be homesick for a place that was only home for 9 mths?  Your little get together along with recently establishing contact with a few of the guys I caddied with has me a little  :'(

Wish I was there to enjoy the round and the conversation afterwards.  As you know The Eden holds a place close to my heart.
