For someone who has posted some of the most inane stuff on this site I find your instruction above to be contradictory. Okay, you have a love affair with Barney, that is all well and good, however, he obviously was removed from membership of GCA by its owner, Ran Morrissette. For you to run interference for John without the express permission of Ran, is just plain bad manners.

Bob Huntley has contributed as much to this GCA fraternity as anyone I can think of.  His advice to check with Ran seems very reasonable to me.  I'm not sure why you took offense and responded that way.

If you want to contact Ran, go to any thread that he has posted on (I've linked to one here for your benefit).  Click on either the email or message icons below his post count and this will permit you to either email or message him.

You just don't get it. Has Ran told you he is just too busy to deal with it? Your assumption is wrong. Ran moderates this site, just post and he will answer you.

You ask if there are other things I dislike about this thread; yes there are. I have no quibble with John and have known and liked him since the first King's Putter in San Diego some years ago. As time progressed it appeared as though John took a perverse pleasure in needling some people with scatalogical language and veiled insults. My knowledge of this is by hearsay and reading some of his posts,  but it seemed serious enough for the moderators to remove his name from the GCA roster.

I would reiterate my advice to you; contact Ran.
