Why would anyone want to pay to play a pitch and putt? Why would it be in the NY Times? Why would it be such a frugal deal, when you can play a full length course in the area slightly over $1 a hole?

This is the last course I would have ever expected to make an appearance on GCA.com!

It also made it onto gca.com as 'pub golf' and has been on here before. Since it is the New York Times it must have been fit to print.
Maybe the guy who shot the other guy who inexplicably armed himself with a sword, after they played golf together, drank together and got into an argument played here rather than in St Helens.

I did learn that they have expanded with a 12 hole course in addition to the original 20. The article will be a boon to McMenamins.

Here in Sacto, CA we have a regulation course that charges $9 for 18 to walk, Cordova Golf Course, it is flat with a couple of ponds and few trees, but you have to start somewhere! Course always make the list of least expensive in the US.

Stanley Park Pitch and Putt in Vancouver is 12$ a round(18 holes) and it's a blast

You can walk Sahm Golf Course, an Indianapolis muni, for $18.  Early Pete Dye, but it's well worth the $.

Wilmington Muni in NC was $14 for non-residents on a weekday when I was there in Dec. 2004...profiled on this site!
