Am possibly going to do a November golf trip w/ some west coast buddies, and we were discussing whether New Mexico would be possible.  I've only been to NM once, in early September.  I suspect November weather is highly dependent on where you are in the state.  So two related questions -- (1) what are the best courses in NM, and (2) will it be too cold to play them in November?

I was out a couple of weeks ago and played Black Mesa, Paa-Ko Ridge and U of New Mexico.  All of them were great with Black Mesa being the cream of the crop.

It also depends on when in November you intend to come out. Early November your odds are still very good; later in the month can be pretty sporadic especially at any of the courses at elevation (which often are the better ones). Paa-Ko Ridge is the first one to close usually due to being at 6,500 feet and on the east side of the mountains. It usually is open through the end of November though.

Black Mesa and Paa-Ko Ridge are by far your best options and are well worth the trip from anywhere. Pueblo de Cochiti and UNM Championship would be my next two choices if you're based in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area. Santa Ana, Twin Warriors, and Sandia are all worth seeing if you're looking for more courses--a lot of folks consider Twin Warriors to be the #3 option. There's not much in Las Cruces worth playing IMO.

I wouldn't want to leave out Pinon Hills either. Its a bit of a drive (NW corner of state), but definitely one of the better options.

Stay as far south as you can -- Black Mesa is at 5,000+ feet in elevation so snow can happen. The greater Albuquerque area is likely your best bet -- try UNM / Championship as one good place to play.

Just don't go there expecting shirt sleeves weather in the higher altitudes.

I actually played Black Mesa last mid-November and it was 65 and sunny, perfect day to play. A week later we did get snow in the mountains and it was 45 and rainy in town. Stick to the first half of the month and you'll be fine; the second half and you're taking your chances anywhere in the area. I'd have a hard time recommending the visit if you couldn't play the courses at elevation. Plus, Albuquerque is 5,000 feet give or take, so its all at elevation essentially.
